Enlighten III is an industry leader in tattoo removal, benign pigmented lesion removal, and overall skin revitalization. The laser system uses a combination of wavelengths and short picosecond pulses to provide both gentle and effective treatment. Whilst most laser toning services offer inconsistent and delayed results, the Enlighten III’s combined delivery of both longer (2 nanoseconds) and shorter (750/660 picoseconds) pulse durations paired with three fully integrated laser wavelengths (532 nm, 1064 nm and 670 nm) means Auspoint Medical can provide outstanding results within fewer sessions.
The treatment itself is not painful, however topical localized anesthetic can be provided in certain circumstances for patient comfort. Patients will feel the device producing a heating sensation as it passes over the treatment areas. For post-treatment care of laser tattoo removal, patients will be provided a topical antibiotic and advised to keep the area covered and protected from the sun for two days.
How Enlighten III Works
Enlighten III safely and precisely delivers radiofrequency energy via insulated microneedles into the skin to remove unwanted fatty tissue, remodel collagen and destroy acne.
Benefits of Enlighten III
A distinct benefit of Enlighten III is the use of picosecond technology. This technology delivers laser energy within a trillionth of a second, causing a thermal expansion that fragments tattoo pigments into easily absorbed particles that can be expelled from the body. This technology allows for a reduced number of treatments in comparison to other nanotechnology-based laser removal, with only an average of 3 – 6 sessions needed depending on the tattoo size. The speed of picosecond technology also helps reduces the potential for thermal damage to surrounding skin areas.
What skin concerns can Enlighten III treat?
Enlighten III is an excellent option for those wishing to remove benign pigmented lesions, or those wanting relatively painless and highly effective tattoo removal.
Prior to your treatment, your practitioner will discuss with you and determine if any local anaesthetic will be required.
Treatment
The treatment itself can take an average of 40 minutes for tattoo removal, and 15 minutes for lesion removal. Whilst the procedure is relatively quick, it can be uncomfortable for some patients. If you are prone to high levels of discomfort or sensitivity, please disclose this early on so that our AMCC practitioner can appropriately accommodate your needs.
Post Treatment
Post treatment, patients may experience blisters, a small amount of skin peeling and overall swelling. Recovery typically occurs within 1 – 2 weeks, however the nature and size of the tattoo can impact recovery time.
